Animal Planet Comes to Hooked on Fishing

The production company for Animal Planet recently used the Hooked on Fishing Park as the location for an upcoming episode of their new series called “Off the Hook: Extreme Catches”.  The new program explores out-of-the-ordinary fishing methods as a new way of looking at the sport of  fishing. The star of the show, professional wrestler “Showtime” Eric Young, travels across the United States in search of some of the craziest fishing techniques in Off The Hook: Extreme Catches. From piers in New York City to the coasts of Florida, Eric goes from sailfishing to catching sharks on paddleboards -- and every type of imaginable (and unimaginable!) fishing in between. The episode filmed at Hooked on Fishing will feature RC boats used for fishing. The episode is scheduled to air on September 16.  It will likely be rerun later.
