June 2nd Fishing Derby

June 2nd marked the date of our second fishing derby of the season.  The monthly fishing derbies are sponsored by Preseley's Outdoors. This well attended even featured fishing, fun, food, and prizes for the kids.

Fishing Fun Begins

 

Since our opening day, May 1st, the park has been busy with many groups coming to enjoy the park.

Presleys Outdoors Kids Fishing Derby

Mark your calendar for May 5, 2012 for the first fishing derby of the season.  This year Presley's Outdoors is sponsoring a kids fishing derby the first Saturday of every month. There will be lots of fun, fishing, and prizes.  Come and register from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. and fish from 9:00 to 11:00.  Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish, and fun will be had by everyone. Each child must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Volunteer Opportunities

If you would like to help Hooked on Fishing, we are having a park clean-up day this coming  Saturday, March 31, from 8 a.m. until noon.  We could use some extra hands to get the park ready for the up-coming Opening on May 1st. 

If you would like to become a regular volunteer, we are having a volunteer orientation the next 2 Saturdays, March 31 and April 7 from  10 to 11  a.m.  We would love to have some new active volunteers.

FLY FISHING FOR RAINBOW TROUT

Come to the Hooked on Fishing Park on Saturday, March 17, 2012  from 8 a.m.  til 2 p.m. for an opportunity to do some fly fishing in our trout pond.  Well known fisherman John Graham will host the event.  Suggested donation is $40 per adult. Kids free.
